Jon was born in February 1974 to Gerald and
Nora Tomberlin. He is the
eighth of nine children. His brothers and sisters are:
Dean,
Bill,
Sue,
Cindy,
Tom,
Ross,
Chris, and
Heidi. The
family has lived in a number of
places in the Southeastern United States. Jon was born while the family
was living in Asheville, North Carolina. After a short stay in Columbia,
South Carolina the family moved back to Asheville for good. Here Jon grew
up and completed High School.
Throughout his life Jon has been a sports junky. He played football,
basketball, and baseball, in High School and was all conference in all
three.
